Helium 10 Review (2026): Features, Pricing and Who It Is For

If you run a Shopify store and keep hearing that you should also sell on Amazon, Walmart or TikTok Shop, Helium 10 is usually the first software name that comes up. It promises to pick products, find keywords, write listings, run ads and track profit in one place. That is a lot of promises for a tool that costs real money every month.

This review looks at what Helium 10 actually includes, what it costs in October 2026, what users complain about, and who should (and should not) buy it. It is written for Shopify sellers who are thinking about adding marketplaces, as well as people who sell mainly on Amazon.

How we researched this review

This is an analysis, not a hands-on lab test. We did not open a paid account. The review is based on Helium 10’s pricing page (viewed October 6, 2026), its public documentation and blog posts as indexed in search, Walmart Marketplace’s page about Helium 10 tools, public ratings on G2, Capterra and Trustpilot, and recent third-party reviews. Everything is current as of October 2026.

Plan names, prices and plan feature lists come from the official Helium 10 pricing page as displayed in a standard browser on October 6, 2026. Details from other sources, such as usage limits, the ad management fee and user complaints, are labeled as reported. Prices change, so check the official Helium 10 pricing page before you pay.

Helium 10 at a glance

What is Helium 10?

Helium 10 is a software platform built for people who sell products through online marketplaces. It started with Amazon, and the company now describes itself as a suite for Amazon, Walmart and TikTok Shop sellers. Its pricing page says the platform is trusted by over 4.5 million brands, with $7B+ in monthly Amazon GMV, 860K+ active Chrome extension users and 24+ marketplaces supported. These are vendor-reported figures, not audited numbers.

Helium 10 is now part of Pacvue, an enterprise advertising and commerce platform. In February 2025 the two launched Helium 10 Ads, which is powered by Pacvue’s ad technology. That matters because advertising is where Helium 10 has been investing most heavily.

Most of the tools answer one of five questions: what should I sell, what words do buyers use, how should I write the listing, how do I run ads, and am I actually making money. The graphic below maps the main tools to those five jobs.

Helium 10 features, grouped by job

Product research: Black Box, Xray, Trendster

• Black Box filters a product database to surface items with high demand and low competition. You set criteria such as price range, review count and estimated sales, and it returns candidates.
• Xray works as a Chrome extension on Amazon (and Walmart). On a search results page it shows estimated monthly sales, revenue, review counts and ranking data for every product in the list, which saves you from opening dozens of tabs.
• Trendster shows seasonal demand patterns so you do not stock up on a product right before its demand falls.

The important caveat is that every sales number is an estimate. Neither Helium 10 nor its rivals can see Amazon’s private sales data. Independent comparisons of Helium 10 and Jungle Scout give mixed results, with some tests favoring one tool and some the other. Use the numbers to rank ideas and spot patterns, not as exact forecasts. If everyone uses the same tool to find the same winning product, competition rises too, which is a point several critics make.

Keyword research: Cerebro and Magnet

Keyword research is the other core strength. Cerebro is a reverse ASIN tool. You paste a competitor’s product ID and it shows which keywords that listing ranks for, along with search volume and ranking position. Magnet starts from a seed keyword and expands it into related terms.

According to Helium 10’s help center, Magnet has now been merged into Cerebro, so you can search by ASIN or by keyword in one place. Helium 10 says no features were removed, and the rollout was staged, so some accounts may still see two separate tools. Cerebro also works for Walmart research, according to Helium 10’s help documentation.

Listing optimization: Listing Builder, Scribbles, Listing Analyzer

Once you know your keywords, you need to place them in the title, bullets and backend search terms.

• Listing Builder drafts listings from your keyword data, including AI-assisted drafts that Helium 10 says are built on real keyword data.
• Scribbles helps you track which keywords you have already used in the front end and back end of a listing.
• Listing Analyzer scores a listing, yours or a competitor’s, across its elements.
• Index Checker confirms whether a listing is searchable for a given keyword.

These tools save time, but AI drafts still need a human edit, and photos and pricing matter more than any keyword tweak.

Operations and analytics: Profits, Keyword Tracker, Alerts, Inventory

• Profits is a dashboard for revenue, fees and net profit. For Walmart sellers, Walmart’s own Helium 10 page says you connect your seller account and data becomes available within about 24 hours.
• Keyword Tracker monitors your keyword rankings over time. Third-party reviews report that Platinum allows tracking of about 500 keywords and Diamond about 2,500, with extra capacity sold as an add-on.
• Alerts flags hijackers, listing changes and other threats to your listing.
• Inventory Management helps you plan reorders so you do not run out of stock.

Advertising: Helium 10 Ads

Helium 10 Ads replaced the older Adtomic tool. Helium 10’s help center says Platinum and Diamond members get access, although the Platinum feature list on the pricing page does not mention ads, so confirm what your plan includes. The pricing page lists rules-based ad automation and dayparting, plus manual bid and budget controls, under Diamond. In the help center’s description, Platinum members use AI Advertising Product Goals, where you set a goal and the software builds and adjusts campaigns.

The catch is a management fee. Helium 10’s help center describes a 2% fee on ad spend generated through the AI-driven Product Goals, with no minimum, and says the fee is non-refundable. At $5,000 in monthly ad spend that is roughly $100 on top of your subscription.

Newer AI features

Helium 10 has also added an AI layer. The pricing page lists the Helium AI Agent under Diamond, described as keyword, listing, ads and operations intelligence in one conversation. Diamond also includes AI Essentials: the Helium 10 MCP, free up to 1,000 calls, and an AI Listing Builder integrated with keyword research. We have not used the agent, so treat its real-world value as unproven.

Helium 10 pricing in 2026

Helium 10 now sells three plans, according to its pricing page (viewed October 6, 2026): Platinum, Diamond and Enterprise. The page has a toggle between paying monthly and paying yearly, and says yearly billing saves up to 20%. All prices are in USD, with applicable taxes added at checkout.

What the pricing page tells you, and what it leaves out:

• Platinum is the entry point. There is no Starter plan on the page. Older guides and some listing sites still show a $39 Starter plan, and third-party reviews say it was discontinued earlier in 2026.
• The page does not list a free plan. Older reviews describe one with capped tool use. See the free plan section below.
• Platinum is basic on operations. It lists basic performance tracking and limited profit reporting. Inventory management, full profit and loss reporting and the managed refund service sit in Diamond.
• Prices have risen. One third-party reviewer ties a 2026 increase to AI features and operating costs, and another source says Platinum entitlements were trimmed and sellers pushed back. We could not confirm either from Helium 10 itself.

Costs beyond the sticker price

• The 2% ad management fee described above.
• Add-ons such as extra keyword tracking, reported from about $19 a month.
• Taxes, which the pricing page says are added at checkout.
• Annual billing, which gives the lowest monthly price but locks in a larger payment. Several Trustpilot reviewers say renewals took them by surprise.

Does Helium 10 have a free plan?

The current pricing page does not list a free plan. Older reviews and several 2026 articles describe a free tier with capped use of tools such as Black Box, Xray and Cerebro, and the pricing page FAQ mentions Chrome extension access. Sources disagree on the caps, and we could not confirm whether new sign-ups still get a free tier, so we will not quote numbers. Check at signup before you plan around it.

Whatever the entry route, test before you commit. Pick two or three product ideas, run them through Xray and Cerebro, and see whether the data changes your decision. If you start on Platinum with monthly billing, the test costs $129 for a month instead of a year of fees. You can see what Helium 10 offers new users and decide from there.

What users say about Helium 10

Public ratings are split, and the split tells you something.

• G2: about 4.2 out of 5 from 184 reviews. Reviewers praise the breadth of tools and the keyword research. The main complaints are cost, overwhelming options, and extra charges for features people want to try.
• Capterra: about 4.2 out of 5 from roughly 110 users.
• Trustpilot: much lower. We saw a score of 2.5 out of 5 from 695 reviews in one snapshot and 2.1 out of 5 from 713 reviews in another. The ratings are polarized, with most reviews either 5 stars or 1 star.

The Trustpilot complaints are consistent enough to take seriously: charges after cancellation, difficulty getting refunds even when the request came shortly after a renewal, features removed without a matching price cut, price increases, and slow or scripted support. Some reviewers also say Helium 10 does not respond publicly to negative reviews. Positive reviews praise the toolset and helpful support agents.

The gap between about 4.2 on software review sites and about 2 on Trustpilot suggests the product works for many users while the commercial side generates friction. Third-party summaries say Helium 10 offers a 7-day refund window handled case by case, but that it does not advertise a money-back guarantee prominently, so read the terms at checkout and set a reminder for any renewal date.

Helium 10 pros and cons

Pros

• Broad toolset across research, keywords, listings, ads and profit in one login.
• Cerebro is widely praised for competitor keyword analysis.
• Walmart and TikTok Shop tools are included, which suits multichannel sellers.
• Ads automation is built in rather than sold as a separate product.

Cons

• Pricing is high for small sellers: Platinum is $99 a month billed yearly or $129 monthly, and Diamond is $279 or $359.
• The learning curve is steep, and the number of tools can overwhelm new sellers.
• Sales and revenue figures are estimates, not facts.
• Billing, refund and support complaints are common on Trustpilot.
• No supplier database, which some competitors offer.
• Plan limits and features change, so a plan that fits today may not fit next year.
• Little or nothing for managing a Shopify store itself.

Helium 10 for Shopify and multichannel sellers

This is the section most ecomstart readers care about. Helium 10 is not a Shopify app. We found no Helium 10 tools for managing a Shopify store, and none of the sources we read described a Shopify integration. Its data comes from marketplaces. That shapes who should use it.

Amazon

Amazon is the home turf, and everything above applies in full. Walmart

Walmart’s Marketplace site lists Helium 10 tools for its sellers: Xray for product research, Cerebro for reverse keyword research, Magnet for keyword expansion and Profits for financial tracking after you connect your seller account. Helium 10 also promotes AI advertising for both Amazon and Walmart sellers. Walmart Xray and Cerebro are described in Helium 10’s help center, and third-party reports say Xray for Walmart sits in Platinum and above. How deep the Walmart tools go compared with Amazon is hard to judge from public pages.

TikTok Shop

Helium 10 has added a set of TikTok Shop tools, which its blog says are in Platinum with extras in Diamond. The pricing page also lists a TikTok Shop academy under Platinum. They include Product Finder (with GMV, conversion and sales velocity data), Hot Videos (top-converting videos by category), an Influencer Finder, a Listing Converter that turns an Amazon listing into a TikTok format, and a profit dashboard. Your own Shopify store

Here the benefit is indirect. Marketplace data can tell you which products have demand and which keywords shoppers use, and that research can inform what you stock and how you name products on your own store. But Helium 10 will not run your storefront, your email or your Shopify SEO. For that side, look at free and low-cost options first. A sensible multichannel workflow

1. Check Amazon demand and competition for a product you already sell, or plan to sell, using the entry plan on monthly billing (or any free access Helium 10 offers at signup).
2. Decide whether Amazon, Walmart or TikTok Shop is realistic for that product after fees and shipping.
3. Only then pay for a plan, and prefer monthly billing for the first few months so a bad fit does not cost a year.
4. Track whether the channel adds profit after fees and ad spend. If not, cancel on time.

Which Helium 10 plan is right for you?

• Platinum on monthly billing: You are validating whether Amazon, Walmart or TikTok Shop works for you. It costs $129 for the month and carries no yearly commitment.
• Platinum on yearly billing: You are an active solo seller under about $100K in yearly sales and will use research and keyword tools every week. $99 a month, once you are sure.
• Diamond: You sell roughly $100K to $10M a year, spend meaningful money on Amazon ads, or want inventory, profit and loss and refund tools. At $279 to $359 a month, check that the extras apply to you.
• Enterprise: An agency or a brand beyond $10M a year that needs more users, seller accounts and ASINs. It starts at $1,499 a month.

Who should skip Helium 10

• Pure Shopify stores with no plan to sell on a marketplace. The tools are built around marketplace data.
• Complete beginners with no product yet. Software does not make a weak product good, and $99 or more per month is hard to justify before you have revenue.
• Sellers who want exact numbers. You will get estimates.
• Anyone who dislikes tracking subscription renewals. Given the billing complaints, you need discipline with dates.

Helium 10 alternatives

These are short notes, not full reviews. Prices come from third-party sources and may have changed.

• Jungle Scout: The best-known rival and generally seen as friendlier for beginners. Reviews put its entry plan at about $49 a month or $29 a month billed annually, and it offers a supplier database that Helium 10 lacks. Its keyword research is described as less deep.
• SmartScout: Positioned around brand and market analysis, with a starting price reported at about $29 a month. One of the reviews we read of Helium 10 was published by SmartScout itself, so keep the competitor bias in mind.
• Viral Launch: One 2026 comparison says it has been closed to new customers since January 2026. We could not confirm that independently, so check its website before considering it.

For active marketplace sellers who use the research and keyword tools weekly, many reviewers say yes. For beginners, casual sellers and pure Shopify stores, probably not yet. Start on monthly billing so a bad fit costs one month, not twelve.

Our verdict

Helium 10 is a capable, broad toolset, and its keyword and product research tools are the reason it has such a large user base. Its weaknesses are cost, complexity and a commercial side that draws many billing complaints. It is best for sellers who already know they want Amazon, Walmart or TikTok Shop as a real revenue channel and will use the tools often.

If that sounds like you, start with the entry plan on monthly billing, use it on real products, and move to yearly billing only when you are sure it pays for itself. Set a reminder before every renewal, and compare it with a cheaper rival if your needs are simple. If you are a Shopify seller who only sells on your own site, you can skip it for now.
