Best Review Apps for Shopify: Judge.me, Loox, Yotpo
This article may contain affiliate links. We may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. How we earn money

In this article
For most new Shopify stores, start with Judge.me. Its free plan lists unlimited reviews with photo and video reviews, and the paid Awesome plan is $15 a month (as of October 2026). Pick Loox for free review-request emails up to 500 orders, or Yotpo if you need Google Seller Ratings, which start on its Pro plan.
Our pick
Judge.me Product Reviews. It has the broadest free plan of the seven (no order cap on the listing, photo and video reviews, Google review sync) and the highest rating with the most reviews: 5.0 from 48,600+ on the Shopify App Store (October 2026). Best for new stores that want to pay nothing until they need coupons, referrals or auto-reminders. Paid plan from $15 a month (October 2026).
Also consider: Loox for a free plan that includes review-request emails and photo-review discounts up to 500 orders. Yotpo for Google Seller Ratings and retail syndication at higher order volumes.
Skip Judge.me if you want reviews and a loyalty program from one vendor: look at Rivyo or Stamped below.

Key takeaways
- Judge.me has the highest rating and the most reviews of the seven: 5.0 from 48,600+ (Shopify App Store, October 2026). Its free plan has no order cap on the listing.
- Loox lists a free Beginner plan for up to 500 orders. Video reviews and Google, Meta and TikTok syndication start on the $49.99 Convert plan.
- Yotpo shows two price sets. The Shopify listing says Starter $15 and Pro $119. Yotpo’s own pricing page says Starter $89 and Pro $169 for up to 500 orders.
- Stamped’s listing shows no free plan and no free trial. Prices start at $23 a month for up to 200 orders.
- You may reward customers for reviews, as long as the reward does not depend on a positive rating. The US FTC rule has been in force since October 21, 2024.
- Platoria shows AI summaries of reviews from other sites, not reviews from your own customers. Treat it as a stopgap for products with no reviews.
How we chose these 7 review apps
This comparison uses public pages only: each app’s Shopify App Store listing (pricing panel, rating, review count), Yotpo’s pricing page and two US Federal Trade Commission pages, all checked on October 16, 2026. We did not open paid accounts or install any app. Ranking follows the criteria below, not payouts.
- Free plan limits: what the free plan caps and what it leaves out.
- Price at 100 and 500 orders a month, where the listing publishes order limits.
- Shopify App Store rating and review count, as listed.
- Photo and video reviews, and which plan includes them.
- Google review syndication or rich snippets, if the listing names them.
- Import from other review apps or marketplaces.
- Support channel named on the listing.
Not checked: widget speed, email deliverability, design quality and how each app behaves in a real store. Judge.me’s and Stamped’s own pricing pages returned an access error (403) and could not be read, so their prices come from the Shopify listings only. Check date: October 16, 2026.
Reviews can also feed star ratings in search results when the app outputs review markup. See our guide to Shopify SEO apps for that side. For more no-cost options across categories, see our list of free Shopify apps, and the best Shopify apps hub for other app types.

Yotpo Product Reviews
Yotpo ties reviews to a wider customer-experience stack: photo and video reviews, Google Seller Ratings, syndication to channels such as TikTok and Walmart, and a link to Yotpo Loyalty. The Shopify listing rates it 4.8 from 4,600+ reviews (October 2026).
Best for: growing stores that want Google Seller Ratings or syndication alongside reviews.
Yotpo has two price sets. The Shopify listing shows Starter from $15 and Pro from $119 and says price changes with order volume. Yotpo’s own pricing page shows Starter $89 and Pro $169 for up to 500 orders a month. Neither page explains the gap. Shopify listing and vendor site can differ by plan scope or billing, so get a quote for your own order volume.
| Plan | Shopify listing (monthly) | Shopify listing (annual, per month) | Yotpo site (monthly) | Main limit |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Free | $0 | Not shown | Not stated; FAQ says up to 50 orders a month | Up to 50 orders a month |
| Starter | From $15 | $12 ($144 a year) | $89 (up to 500 orders) | Photos and video from Starter; Google Seller Ratings not included |
| Pro | From $119 | $89 ($1,068 a year) | $169 (up to 500 orders) | Google Seller Rating, AI summary, smart sorting |
| Premium | Not on listing | Not on listing | Custom quote | Retail syndication, dedicated manager (vendor site) |
Pros
- Google Seller Ratings on Pro, plus review syndication to TikTok and Walmart, per the listing.
- Free plan lists automatic review requests, an email templates library and a sentiment and profanity check.
Cons
- Entry price is unclear: $15 on the listing against $89 on the vendor site for up to 500 orders.
- Free plan stops at 50 orders a month and photo and video collection starts on Starter.
- Listing says external charges may be billed by Yotpo separately from your Shopify invoice.
Skip it if you have under 50 orders a month and only need star ratings and photo reviews. Judge.me’s free plan lists unlimited reviews with photo and video, and Awesome is $15 a month with a 15-day trial (Judge.me listing, October 2026). If loyalty is your main goal, see our best Shopify loyalty apps guide. Check which request channels your Yotpo plan includes: the listing mentions email, and Yotpo’s site mentions SMS.

Stamped Reviews and Loyalty
Stamped sells reviews and a loyalty program from one vendor. The listing title is now “Stamped Reviews & Loyalty” and rates it 4.7 from 3,700+ reviews (Shopify App Store, October 2026). Older posts, including an earlier version of this one, call it Stamped Product Reviews & UGC.
Best for: stores that want reviews and a loyalty program from the same vendor and accept paying from day one.
| Plan | Monthly | Annual (per month) | Main limit |
|---|---|---|---|
| Reviews | $23 | Not shown | Up to 200 orders a month |
| Reviews (1k) | $99 | Not shown | Up to 1,000 orders a month |

Platoria AI Review Testimonial
Platoria creates AI summaries of reviews found on other sites for a product, with a star rating and review snippets. The listing rates it 4.6 from only 4 reviews (Shopify App Store, October 2026).
Best for: new products with no reviews yet, as a stopgap while your own customers’ reviews arrive.
| Plan | Monthly | Annual (per month) | Main limit |
|---|---|---|---|
| Free | $0 | Not shown | Up to 3 products, 1 link per product |
| Basic | $7.50 | Not shown | Up to 25 products, 2 links per product |
| Standard | $35 | Not shown | Up to 150 products, 3 links per product |
| Pro | $95 | Not shown | Up to 500 products, 5 links per product |
Pros
- Free plan covers 3 products and lists rich review snippets for search.
- Pricing depends on product count, not order volume.
Cons
- Only 4 ratings on the listing, so the 4.6 says little.
- Summaries come from review pages you link, not from buyers of your store. The vendor says the display shows “high review counts” that beat competitors.
Skip it if you can collect real reviews from your own customers: a collection app such as Judge.me gives you reviews you can stand behind.

How to ask for reviews without breaking the rules
The US Federal Trade Commission announced its Consumer Reviews and Testimonials rule on August 14, 2024. The rule has been in effect since October 21, 2024 (FTC questions and answers, checked October 2026). It is a US rule and this is not legal advice.
- A reward for leaving a review is allowed. The FTC says the rule does not prohibit incentives for reviews.
- The reward must not depend on the rating. The FTC says there may be no express or implied requirement that a review express a particular sentiment.
- Do not write or hint that a review must be positive to earn the coupon. Offer the same reward to every customer who reviews, whatever the stars.
- The rule also covers reviews that misrepresent the reviewer’s experience with the product. Imported or AI-summarized reviews of other sellers’ products are not addressed in the FTC questions and answers, so label their source and take advice.
- Reply to negative reviews instead of removing them. This is editorial advice, not a rule we checked.
Coupons for photo reviews (Loox), coupons and referrals (Judge.me) and review rewards (Rivyo) are therefore fine to use if the reward is for the review, not for a positive one.
