Staff accounts follow the plan: the page lists none additional on Basic, 5 on Grow, 15 on Advanced and unlimited on Plus. Plus shows no yearly price. Some older guides list a Starter plan; the page read for this guide lists none.

Does Shopify include VAT in UK prices?
The UK pricing page does not say whether plan prices include VAT (as of October 2026). Shopify’s help page on billing VAT covers stores in the EU, Ireland, Switzerland and Turkey and has no UK billing rates or steps. Treat the VAT on your subscription as unconfirmed until you see the total at checkout and on your invoice.
A separate question is when your own store must charge VAT to customers. GOV.UK says you must register for VAT if your total taxable turnover for the last 12 months goes over £90,000, or if you expect it to go over £90,000 in the next 30 days (as of October 2026). Below that, registration is a separate decision. Ask HMRC or an accountant how it affects your prices.
What card fees apply to UK stores?
With Shopify Payments, the standard online card rate is 2% + 25p on Basic, 1.7% + 25p on Grow, 1.5% + 25p on Advanced and 1.3% + 25p on Plus (UK page, as of October 2026). In-person rates are 1.7%, 1.6%, 1.5% and 1.5%, with 0p fixed.
If you use another payment provider, the page lists an extra transaction fee of 2% on Basic, 1% on Grow, 0.6% on Advanced and 0.2% on Plus, on top of what that provider charges. Which plan should a UK store pick?
Start on Basic if you run the store alone and sell under about 200 orders of £50 a month. Move to Grow when you need staff logins or sell more than that. Read what the Shopify Basic plan includes first.

Basic is £15 cheaper. The gap closes because Grow saves £0.15 per order (£1.25 minus £1.10) and costs £30 more a month (£49 minus £19). At 200 orders: Basic is 200 x £1.25 + £19 = £269 and Grow is 200 x £1.10 + £49 = £269.
